Chapter 4

Never have i felt so safe and the same time terrified. I could feel Logan relax as he breathed in the scent of my hair.

"Logan i cant do this not yet" I say struggling to get out of his arms. The look on his face made my heart wrench. "Lunch is almost over anyway. I say standing up and grabbing my bag.

"I would like for you to come meet my father" he suddenly says. "He doesnt have much time and i want him to have the chance to meet my mate and future Luna. Ill pick you up tommorow afterschool"

"I cant tommorow" I say. "I have alot going on and i cant miss any of it" i say not wanting him to know tommorow is my birthday.

"Ok maybe the day after then. Riley I want you to be in my life, i will do anything to make this work" he says. We both hear the bell ring signaling lunch was over. "Ill see you latter". He says before grabbing his own backpack and leaving the courtyard,

I head straight to my locker to collect my books for my 3 remaining classes. I groan when i see that Aurora and Tilley but they where over the top.n I just hope logan or Ashley didnt realize my birthday is tomorow.

The finale bell rang and i ran straight to my lock gathering my stuff for the next 2 days knowing I was not going to school tommorow. My father had been planning some meetings with the elders in the morning and then around lunch time i would shift for the first time. 

All I can think about is the hurt look on Logans face when i pushed him away.  All I wanted was for Logan to be with me when i shifted for the first time. But i would never admit it to anyone but myself.

"Its your birthday" i hear behind me. I knew that voice and it was Ashley Hall. I cringed and turned to face her.

"Not today" was all i could say. I regreted her knowing because i knew she was going to tell Logan. I grabbed the rest of my stuff and closed my locker door.

"What do u mean not today.  Your friends decorated your locker and this is a big birthday for you right, Your about to turn 18 and shift for the first time. Does Logan know yet?" she was rambeling.

"No he doesnt and i would like to keep it that way" I say before walking past her and out the door.

I groan when i see my brother Ryker leaning against his car in front of the school. I knew i was going to have to face him again. I was just hoping it would be latter this evening and I would have some time to think.

"Why are u here" i ask him. "I would be fine to walk home" i really didnt want to do this.

"Riley please tomorow is a big day for you and i want to make this right between us" he says opening the passenger side door for me.

I reluctantly get in and we start heading home. I want to ask him if he knew what was going on with the battlefang pack Alpha so i do. "Um Ryke have u heard about what has been going on with Alpha Brayden"

He looks over at me giving me a strange look "No i havent, its been supper weird lately. He hasnt been to any of our monthly meetings about warriors and board patrols. Just Betta Blake and logan have been coming. WHy are you bring this up, have you heard something" he asks.

"Ashley was telling me he is sick and is not doing well. They dont think he has much time" i say with a shrug.

"Why are you even talking to Ashley Hall. I thought you couldnt stand her or Logan" he says. Well the cat is out of the bag and there is no turning back now.

"Ryker, Logan Hall is my mate"
