Chapter 40:

RYAN

“Did you invite any friends?” I asked Tom and Logan as they approached the ring of the court.

I held on tight to the basketball, as I bent to the side watching the basket in front of me.

“What’s good man?” Tom said as he dabbed on my shoulders.

I stood still staring silently at the basket in front of me, contemplating whether or not to have the ball thrown into the basket.

“Shoot man,” Logan said as he sat on the floor of the court staring at the basket as well.

I took a deep breath and then bent a bit as I had the ball thrown aiming for the basket and up it went a couple of seconds afterward as it went right through the net.

“Yes!” I said excitedly as I shook my head a bit dancing to the rhythm of no sound.

“That can’t even get you a score,” Tom shot at me teasingly as Logan’s laugh erupted in the air.

“Yeah yeah whatever!” I said walking over to the bench by the court as I wiped off beads of sweat gathered on my forehead.
