Chapter Fifty Three

Axel PoV

I was scared of very few people. In fact, the list of those I feared was so miniscule you could read it one breath, and Klaus was slowly wiggling himself into that list.

When I noticed Klaus’s strength many years ago, I had big plans for him. The plan was to use him to expand the pack, and make the pack legendary. I never imagined that his strength, which I had greatly nurtured and refined over the years, would be directed at me.

“And it’s all because of that bitch,” I snarled, tightening my fist.

Aurora would ruin everything, and I greatly regretted not slashing her baby throat twenty-five years ago. In hindsight, killing a baby would not make me more monstrous than I already was. I’d already murdered my Alpha and his wife, would adding their baby to the list made any difference?

“Stupid, Axel, damn stupid,” I scolded myself, “you should have killed that bitch when you had the chance.”

If I’d killed her, she wouldn’t be causing me problems.
