Chapter 59 Last hug

Liya's POV

As my body spasmed violently, sending me sprawling to the floor, I threw my head back and let out a piercing scream. The voice sounded nothing like my own. Instead it was deeper, more guttural, and sounded more like a roar.

I let out another scream as a painful zap of electricity buzzed through my body. My bones cracked painfully, and I was blinded by the bright bluish light that seemed to illuminate in a circle around me.

One last zap frazzled every nerve in my body and I felt my bones cracking once more as I shifted to my human form.

"LIYA!!"

Through the chaos and the daze I was still struggling to take myself out of, I could still recognize Hunter's voice. I heard footsteps as the triplets picked their way through the disarrayed chambers.

But as soon as they were a foot away from me, my body flung upright. Without even meaning to, my body shifted into the defensive.
