“Let's talk through Facetime honey.” My father said and I nodded, before switching to it. My father stared at me for a moment, his eyes mostly filled with a confused glare. He opened his mouth to speak but paused and then turned towards his mirror and started to check himself out. “What is wrong with you?” He said with a sigh.

I walked around and faced him again. “Nothing, I am perfectly fine,” I said with my gaze fixated on him. “I just want to know why you brought Trent here of all people to marry me?” I asked again. “Why the warrior?”

My father cocked his head down, as he always does when he was fed up with a conversation. “I brought him here because I wanted to expand my business,” he said. “I asked Xander to, but he wasn't responsive…” he paused and looked at me. “Look, Xander wasn't interested in the business and I had to look for someone else. Someone willing to do what it takes, that's all it is about.”
