TRISTIN'S POV

We gathered for another strategy session in the conference room. Sophie, Eva, and I were deep in discussion when Aaron walked in. His presence alone was enough to set my teeth on edge, knowing how effortlessly charming he could be.

“Hey, everyone,” Aaron greeted, his smile friendly as he took a seat next to Eva.

“Hi, Aaron,” Eva replied, her voice polite but distant.

Sophie glanced at me, a knowing look in her eyes. She could sense my unease, though I tried to mask it with professionalism. But Aaron seemed oblivious, launching into ideas and suggestions for the upcoming campaign.

As the meeting progressed, I found myself growing increasingly irritated. Aaron’s easy rapport with Eva, the way he leaned in to listen to her ideas—it all grated on my nerves. I knew it was irrational, but jealousy simmered beneath the surface, exacerbated by Livia’s accusations earlier.

“Tristin, what do you think?” Aaron asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.
