CHAPTER NINE- this means war

It felt like time stopped as we both stared at each other. The loud gunshot shocked me, realization hit me as I felt my grip on the trigger.

My eyes widened as the man’s face twisted to that of pain as he groaned and rolled off me. My body was trembling from the aftereffects of the gunshot, I turned my head glancing at the man on the floor.

His haunting grey eyes were wide open and dilated, color seemed to have left his face and there was no sign of him breathing.

He’s dead.

Panicked, I quickly scrambled to my feet making a run for it. My heart was racing as I ran in a blur, the docks suddenly came to view and I noticed Enzo searching through the crowd hastily.

“Enzo!” I called out from afar, gaining his attention as we locked eyes.

My eyes quickly scanned his form, his hair was in a mess, he was clutching his recently injured arm and not to mention, his plain white shirt now had splatters of blood on it.
