CHAPTER 32: THE ANCESTRAL BLADE

CRESCENT FALLS

Morning arrived sooner than they anticipated. Magnus was at the back of his house chopping wood while Aiden and Hadrian were inside the kitchen making themselves comfortable and striving to feel at home. “Good morning!” Magnus said, dropping the ax that he raised when he saw Hadrian appear from the back door.

“Morning. Could we start the tracking? I figured that we could use your blood to find the sword.” Hadrian declared and he shrugged.

“You're the warlock.” Magnus chortled as he dropped the ax next to the log of wood that hadn't been chopped.

“Isn't it obvious?” Hadrian muttered sarcastically, folding his arms.

“Let's have breakfast first.” Magnus said, placing his hands forward as he smiled before they dashed into the house.

“Aiden O'Connor.” Magnus muttered as they appeared from the basement ambling into the kitchen. They met Aiden who was sipping from a bottle of water, he eyed them and continued with what he was doing.
