CHAPTER 22
The helicopter had been flying some some time now. Colton raged with fire as he sat uncomfortably in the aircraft besides his father. "There is no way we can get past the border without being noticed. The security is freaking tight." Colton began. "What the heck are we to do then? I'd rather die than go to that fucking jail." Blake ranted. "Just shut up let me think." Colton screamed as he managed to absorb the air than sliced past his skin. Blake fumed angrily. He wished he had his legs functioning. He really wished he did. If he had working legs in his body, life would be way easier for him. His son would have some respect. Colton kept tapping his legs on the floor of the copter. "Take us through the extreme end of the border, through the mountains. We have a better chance of escape!" Colton spoke to the pilot through the headphones. "Affirmative boss! But we have a problem." The pilot said as he navigated a way using the compass embedded into the control board.

The drive to the police station was a blur one. Colton's mind raced as he tried to come up with a plan to save himself and his father. He knew that the evidence against them was strong, but he refused to go down without a fight. He hissed each time he felt the harsh pains of the bruises he got, probably from the helicopter's wreckage. His father was in a separate car coming behind them. He just couldn't believe that he had been caught. What would this mean for him, for his name, his company? "Hey, you know, you surprise me Colton. I always admired you. Who would've known that you are simply a crooked twisted man?" Officer Don broke the silence in the car speaking with Colton as he stared into the mirror. Colton didn't give a reply. He really didn't know what to say. He couldn't even look at himself in the mirror placedin the car. His own eyes sometimes scared him. No one, absolutely no one had seen him this way, except his dad and Beatrix. "I have to admit though, y

Jameson arrived at the police station to meet Ethan, who was still under detention. As he approached the interrogation room, he could see Ethan's face through the small window on the door. It was clear that Ethan had been through a lot, and Jameson felt a sense of guilt wash over him. He knew that he had betrayed Ethan by sharing confidential information with Colton, but he was also determined to make things right. "Hey, Ethan," Jameson said as he entered the room. "How are you holding up?" Ethan looked up and gave him a weak smile. "I've been better, to be honest," he said. "But I'm hanging in there. Honestly though, it sucks here!" Jameson laughed calmly. "What did you expect? To be caged in a paradise? Haha." He managed to force out a smile to cheer Ethan, but Ethan sensed something was not okay. "I'll kill you man. You laugh at me huh? It's hell in here. You just don't know. And what's with you? You look sad" Colton cried out jestly, then he made a serious face..

CHAPTER 25
Colton was escorted to the interrogation room, where the detective, a middle-aged man with a stern look, sat waiting for him. The room was small and had only one table and two chairs. Colton was instructed to sit in one of the chairs while the detective sat on the other side of the table. The detective introduced himself as Detective Peterson and asked Colton if he knew why he was there. Colton nodded and looked around the room, trying to avoid eye contact with the detective. Having a wierd eye made him feel somewhat embarrased. He wondered how the detective managed to look into his eyes easily. Detective Peterson cleared his throat and began asking questions. "So, Mr. Blake, you've been charged with kidnapping Beatrix Winston. Is that correct?" Colton looked at the detective and took a deep breath. "Yes, that's correct," he replied. The detective leaned forward and asked, "Can you tell me why you did it?" Colton hesitated for a moment. He thought of framing a lie. If
