EMILIA POV

“I have never heard a more ridiculous condition in my life,” Daemon scoffed. “Even Emilia knows how to strike better deals in her moments of desperation.”

Seth crossed his arms to show us that he was doing everything but making a joke, and he would always stand by his words. He was not going to let me get out of there with my heart still beating.

“Do you have anything else that you want? Anything that we can agree to? She has no use as a corpse right now, Seth, and you have to understand that,” Katarina tried to reason with him, but I knew it from the way he looked at me that he had made up his mind and not even Katarina could change his mind.

“There is nothing I want more than to see my brother’s murderer put to death by my own hands. You either strike the deal, or I don’t tell you what I have to tell you about that day.”
