Chapter sixty-three

Caleb’s POV

Arriving home after a while, we didn't get the homecoming that I was expecting but that was to be kept aside for now.

We had more pressing matters on the ground to deal with.

Hadid, a guard I remembered from before I left to get Katherine back, walked forward, his face grim.

Are you going to be okay by yourself?" I stopped to ask Katherine as she walked into the house. On second thoughts, I called one of the women hanging around. "Please go with her." I kissed Katherine on the forehead, hugging her briefly before giving Hadid my full attention.

"What is it?"

"We've got a problem." He announced and I rested the urge to sigh.

Is it so much to ask to have a peaceful pack?

"How big is this problem?" Before Hadid could start talking I said, "Hold on." We walked away from the house and I sighted Daniel. I waved him over, needing his input on this situation.

Daniel jogged over, squinting as he looked at our drawn faces.

"Go on," I permitted Hadid to spill.
