Chapter twenty three

Katherine’s POV

They got out of the car and I saw them round the side of the car over to the back where I lay, still half paralyzed.

They jerked the back door open, allowing the sun to stream into the open space. Someone reached out and dragged me forward like a rag doll before clamping one hand around my thigh and a meaty hand grabbed both my arms.

Together, they hoisted me up from the vehicle and carted me to an unmarked building.

It wasn't familiar as I hadn't seen it before. I tried to crane my neck looking for Ethan, hoping I could appeal to his senses but he was nowhere to be found.

My brows wrinkled because I was sure I had seen him earlier before I passed out.

Anyway, I focused ahead and tried to get as much detail about where they were taking me but they walked so fast it was hard to.
