Caleb’s POV

"I've found her." Daniel's statement made me whip my head up so fast, that my neck spun wildly. I stood up so fast that my chair fell backwards from the sudden force.

The past few days have been long and Daniel has been gone most of the time during the day to gather information. We did find out that his hunch earlier was correct and the person he saw was Katherine. The pack members at first refused to divulge sensitive information like that to Daniel, but gradually after some well-placed suggestions and money exchanging hands somewhere along the line, their lips were all too itchy to spill the tea.

According to them, Daniel told me that Katherine was an ungrateful person and a thief. Unbeknownst to them, she had been giving Ethan grief for quite some while which was why Ethan was confined to the house. Someone she managed to slip through the guards and escape. But thankfully they saw her and chased after her, recapturing her easily.
