Chapter twenty six

Caleb’s POV

Luckily the shot didn't hit any of us. Daniel turned just in time so the bullet pierced his opponent's back.

The guy dropped to the floor, and Daniel rushed at the man. I rolled on the floor, narrowly avoiding getting punched by a guard. The pain was still blinding but I breathed through it and got up, gingerly favoring my left leg. But I could feel the bones mending into place even as I hobbled around. One mean-looking brute of a man- the one who swung at me- judging by the way he carelessly flipped the bat in his hand came moving towards me and I ducked in time, hearing the whizzing of the bat gi over my head.

I bent and tackled him to the floor, hoping he would cave but he was stronger than I had expected and just grunt in reaction. The next minute, I felt the hot sting of the bat on my back. I growled and let out my fangs. I bit into his chest causing him to howl in pain and drop the bat to the floor. I kicked at his knees and down he went. I finally finished him up wi
