Caleb’s POV

The silent treatment was unbearable.

Those were the last thoughts circulating in my mind as I walked towards where Daniel's assigned room was.

I requested for him to be brought here for closer inspection. This new administration was still shaky, enemies and disgruntled friends left and right. I didn't know who to trust anymore.

The betrayal of Brian cut me deeper than I thought, as I stood on the podium last night facing the once familiar faces that now looked at me strangely.

Like I was no longer part of them.

Freya, Brian, and others that were working with them had done a number on them.

I stared at them with the same detachment in my heart, intensely scrutinizing each face wondering which of them was friend or foe.

The news of me regaining the title of Alpha especially when the old Alpha was still alive didn't sit well with some people but that was their fucking problem.

I couldn't bring myself to kill my friend. I figured there were just some lines that you just don't
