Ethan’s POV

A typical good day for me is spending my time outdoors or in my penthouse, whose view overlooks the city and calms me.

Now though, it has adjusted to accommodate Roy.

The charming four-year-old is a bundle of joy and overall makes the whole day good for me.

What doesn't make my day good though, is when I get a summons from the man.

Working with the rogues is something that never sat well with me but the quest for power was much, and I was hungry to get a taste however I might.

I certainly didn't mind the orders they threw my way until I met Katherine.

Ever since she's come into my life, she's brought both pain and joy.

On the one hand, I'm mighty glad she escaped. That'll save me the headache of thinking about what to do with her but on the other hand, it puts me at a severe disadvantage with him.

So far, I've only had contact with him seeing as I need to exert my trustworthiness before they could be comfortable enough to show me to the rest of their crew.

He's a tall and
