Chapter 56 My escape

Liya's POV

My body was throbbing weakly, still extremely sensitive, and my wolf had gone quiet, but it was worth the satisfaction I felt seeing their faces instantly turn gloomy. Even in the semi darkness, I could see their faces redden in annoyance as they glared at me.

I knew exactly where to hit them that would hurt the most, and I did exactly that. For their fragile egos, being told that they would never match up to their brother was a huge hit. I knew they would take it very badly, and be constantly reminded of it for a long time. So it was perfect.

I adjusted myself on the bed, using the sheets to cover myself. And then I folded my arms around my chest and watched them both. Hunter looked like he was about to burst into flames. But before I got a chance to gloat for hitting him very hard, he let out a guttural growl and jumped at me on the bed.

His fingers wrapped around my neck and he squeezed tightly, cutting off my oxygen supply.

"What the FUCK did you say, bitch?!"
