Chapter 16: Lowland Lane II

Ivy.

"Ivy? What were you doing in front of the door?"

I tried not to look suspicious about what she said on the call. I took a deep breath and swallowed.

"Uhm, sorry. I just uhm... wanted to ask you how your day went. It just looks like you've been busy this whole week," I said.

Nailed it.

Relief was all over her face, she was thankful that I asked her if she was doing well. I feel bad a bit because it was just an act. "I'm fine, Ivy. Now, go back to your room. You might need some rest too."

"Ivy, hello?" Lizzy was waving her hand in front of my eyes.

I realized that I spilled the sauce of the pasta while mixing it for a while already. I was just too distracted and confused about last night. I couldn't help but think about who was aunt Rosie talking to.

"Oh, uhm." I tried to come back to my senses as I wipe the spilled sauce on the table. We were in the cafeteria, talking about the upcoming event that will be held on the campus next week. Lizzy and I vo
