Chapter Forty Three

ELYSIA'S POV

The morning of the ceremony came quickly and brought with it a thick cloud of uncertainty.

I had woken up early but had stayed back on my bed and tried to think about what the rest of the day could hold for me, I could not stop rubbing my belly at the same time which had been a common practice for me ever since I got to know about my pregnancy. It was still difficult for me to believe that I had actually gotten pregnant with the Alpha's child.

Ever since the discovery of my pregnancy, I had spent the better part of every day locked up in my room, I didn't do more than sleeping and waking up. The Alpha didn't show up in my room either but kept sending maids over to my room with food and treats which I barely touched.

Soon, I heard a soft knock on my door.

"Come in," I said solemnly, without caring who it was at the door.

My eyes watched the door in curiosity as the door handle twisted and turned and the door was pushed forward unsuccessfully. That was when it occurred to m
