CHAPTER 18

I moved to a corner and curled up, shutting my eyes as Kylo’s steps grew closer. I waited for the hit to land on me, but it never came. When I opened my eyes, he had my plate of sandwiches in his hand.

I rushed after him, colliding with his huge frame. The sandwich fell from his mouth, leaving a stain on his lips and suit. It landed on my hair and slid down to my cheek. Despite the situation, I couldn't help but laugh. Kylo, the ever-composed CEO, would need to change before heading to the office.

When I finally looked up after laughing so hard, he was staring down at me. His eyes held a soft, amused look that made my cheeks grow hot.

He touched my cheek, wiping off the sandwich, and then, to my surprise, licked his finger. This action made me look like a ripe tomato. What's more ridiculous is that I liked the moment. I turned and ran back to my bed, covering myself with a blanket. I was too embarrassed to watch him.
