Chapter 22

For FEW minutes none of them moved from where they curled on the floor. Selena stared blankly ahead of her, lost in thought. She has stopped crying, just traces of tears on her face. She has lost all colors on her face. Her eyes were dull, no life. She felt like the world lost its meaning.

Andrew is her life and now he is gone, she has nothing to live for. She was ready to do anything to save him, to the extent she nearly repeated a past mistake.

"You know I want my daughter to look like you though,"

Andrew's voice rang in her head.

"She is going to have your compassionate heart. And the same way you are protecting me is how she would look after her kids' siblings"

"And how are you sure she is going to be the first one?"

"I just know"

Another tear dropped from her eyes and she wiped it away. There is nothing to hold onto now but memories both shared.
