Chapter 18

Amelia’s pov

I smiled at her shocked face. It seemed like I was suddenly having so much joy just watching her desperate stare.

“Why are you staring around so shocked?” I asked her as all the brides suddenly placed town and two together and as they realized their eyes opened widely in surprise.

“You were with her alpha!!” They all exclaimed in unison and with a smile as they all gathered around me except Lucy who was still giving me the angry glares.

“Did you talk to him? Was he ready to let us out of here?” They all asked while I stared at them with a nervous look just to put them on an edge.

“I actually talked to him just like I had promised early and he….” I paused again, putting them in another suspense.

“Amelia just tells us the bad news or good news quickly.” Susan said.

“He agreed to let you all go.” I screamed in excitement as they all screamed with me in excitement as they ran to hug me but the guards stopped them as they crossed their spares in front and Lady Rosa stepped forward towards the bride and Lucy moved closer to understand what was going on as I also was confused.

“Why are you stopping us from hugging her?” Susan questioned the guards with a frown.

“We are sorry but you all can’t hug Her like before for she is to be treated with great care as the soon to be Luna of this pack.” The guards said as I smiled at the guards' method of breaking the news clearly to them. Meanwhile Lucy staggered in shock to the words she had just heard.

“Alpha Damian can’t do something like that, he loved me first!” Lucy exclaimed before rushing out of the prison and when the guards were about to chase after her I stopped them.

“Let her go, we are here to free all the brides after all.”I said to them before walking out of the cell with the brides behind me.

“You guys should all take a rest and shower, staying in that cell for that long wasnt right.” I said to them as few of them nodded before leaving while Susan still stuck around I guess to see what Lucy ran out to do.

We soon got to the front of Alpha Damian room and Lucy was on the ground with blood dripping from her mouth as she breathed in heavily.

“You can’t ever tell me what to do and also you can’t tell me who to make my Luna, I have kept you as my bride and most precious for long enough but you can never meet up with Amelia.” Alpha Damian said, unaware of our presence before he walked back into his bedroom.

“Should we help her?” Susan asked but I stared at her in anger, recalling what she did to me because she was special to the king but now all that is gone and I was the superior.

“Help her, you are all her friends so don’t abandon her now.” I said to them as Susan rushed to help her up and though she initially pretended like she didn’t need Susan’s help she felt dizzy and had to relax on Susan for support, as they walked away I stood watching them as lady Rosa chuckled from behind me.

“What’s funny?” I asked.

“She thought she could still act rebellious and the king would forgive her, you are doing a great job Amelia and I can see you actually sitting beside alpha Damian as his Luna.” Lady Rosa said before walking away but the guards still stood behind.

After thinking about all that had transpired today I decided to return to my quarters but was also surprised to see more guards front of my bedroom, I ignored all of them and walked into my room.

I turned on my bedroom light and was shocked to what I saw, it was Luther…he came back to my room even with all the heavy guards.

“Luther! What are you doing here?” I whispered like anyone could hear me as I rushed closer to him who was sitting on the bed.

“I came to check on you, you are slowly being hard to get through to and now my father send guards around you like you are done priceless jewelry he can’t afford to lose”. Luther said, standing up from my bed as he walked up to me with a grin.

“I heard my dad wants to Make you the first Luna after my mother?” Luther said like he was trying to get me to spill some words.

“Luther, leave!” I ordered but all he did was chuckle loudly as he paced around me.

“You don’t belong to my father but to me!!” He yelled in a frightening yet silent voice.

“What are you saying Luther, please don’t start being possessive..I can’t deal with any of that right now.” I said to Luther but he continued to chuckle.

“I am not the one obsessed with you, it’s my father!” He exclaimed again as I stood still a little fright in me.

“You don’t know what you are getting yourself into and I won’t let my father make you his Luna.” Luther said crushing my heart into pieces.

“Why are you doing this to me?” I asked with a teary voice as I tried to act brave but everything he said got to me.

“You aren’t even his Luna but he enjoys all the privilege and now he wants label you as his queen. You two aren’t even mates!!” Luther yelled pulling me close to him with my wrist as he stared deep into my eyes, like he was trying to read my thoughts and know if I was scared or not.

“You can’t change my mind and I don’t hate your father, he actually saved me from a miserable life and even if he isn’t my real mate I don’t think I need my real mate ever.”
