Chapter Sixty-one: Let's Find Him.
AUTHOR'S POV “Wait, you saw what?!” Liam turned his chair to face his brother, Lucas who was playing with his long hair.“Can you be serious and continue with what you are telling me now!” He yelled at Lucas.Lucas huffed and looked at him.“You know I came out of the womb before you, so learn to always show me some respect. “Lucas' little deep voice reminded Liam of his place.Liam made a throat-clearing sound like he did not notice the admonishment. Like it didn't scare him a little.“Fine, big brother. Please can we be serious now?” Liam feigned a pleading voice.Lucas smiled like the baby he was. He jumped off the bed and came to Liam, patting his shoulder softly.“See that wasn't so bad after all.”Liam shrugged off his hand. Lucas went to sit at the table before Liam.“I will re-narrate the story. After our fight, I was coming back to the palace and decided to take the route of the abandoned hut. There I saw a pale-faced man with veins covering his neck and his arms t

Chapter Sixty-two: The Person Disguising.
AUTHOR'S POV “Are you sure?” Liam was looking at Lucas now.“We have to follow him. We have to go now.” Lucas tried to move but Liam stopped him immediately.“Are you stupid? Remember what the books said, he is a powerful sorcerer to wield such dark magic. If we want to follow him we have to make sure he cannot tell.”“Then how do we do that, smart ass?” Lucas asked, still keeping his eyes on the target.“Let's pretend like we are passing and playing.” Liam slapped Lucas in the head and ran moving towards the stranger.“You are so dead, Liam,” Lucas shouted and chased after him. Liam increased his speed, looking backward. He didn't know when he crashed into the stranger.“Hey, what are you doing?” The stranger grabbed Liam's hand.“Am sorry, sir…” Liam looked up, his own words stuck in his throat.Lucas paused in his tracks also staring at the man.“Sir Mistero, I didn't mean to hit you.” Liam managed to say. “No problem. Just be careful next time” he patted Liam on the head and le

Chapter Sixty-three: The Temple.
AUTHOR’S POV The windows of the children’s room remained unshot and the boys kept their eyes open while waiting patiently for the day to break. They thought Abel might want to do something terrible in the night. They can't imagine him out of their sight, the thought alone scares them, and that's why they have to keep the window curtains open too. Last night their father had refused them patrolling with Abel and so they had to stay in their rooms and watch his moves.Lucas was agitated but Liam was a bit calm about it, resolving that he might not do anything beyond his control that night after all the day is about breaking when they will be going to where Kalife said and getting solutions to all this mystery. Lucas could not stop pacing around the room. He had paranoia apparently and the whole night he imagined all the worst-case scenarios and he kept Liam awake with vivid descriptions of all of them. Liam wrote down a few sensible ones that were likely to happen to them so they

Chapter Sixty-four: The Library.
KALIFE’S POV He stopped running to catch his breath, his hands on his knees breathing fast as we started laughing. First, he found our little stunts so humorously and laughed, his fangs showing and his blue eyes glittering. I always found his appearance alluring and so I smiled when I saw the expression on his face.“We had such a good strategy, that I cannot wait to brag about it to my father when we get back home,” Liam said, still laughing, his voice echoing a little in a quiet temple. I signaled to him, to bring his voice down and he responded immediately.“I know we tried,” I said smiling at him, he felt encouraged and laughed again showing his fangs. Making our way into the temple amidst those two soldiers at the entrance by the left and right is not easy. If not for the distraction Lucas caused, there's no way we would have passed.“Let's get to the library now,” Liam said to me, returning the mood to its original state of seriousness.“Yes, come with me,” I said, turni

Chapter Sixty-five: He is not Abel.
KALIFE’S POV We have two rendezvous, the one in the forest close to the temple and the one in the city. We had decided on our way back, to head straight for the city rendezvous so we could check the books we brought from the temple and understand what we had on them.So we would find out about Abel and what exactly to tell the king about him.The place was located behind an old shop owned by a lazy old man. Liam thought of the place because it was secluded and the old man rarely opened the shop. So people rarely notice us there.Lucas got there first, our bags on his back, he let them down, opening the door while Liam and I stopped one after the other beside the house shifting back.Liam walked to his brother and helped him take the bag while Lucas continued to unlock the place. I stayed behind them wondering.“This kingdom will be in good hands in the future if these two work together to build it but I sense something bad is going to happen if they end up being enemies, and If th

AUTHOR'S POV The twins returned to the palace, Kalife was supposed to go home while they handled things from there, but before Kalife left she gave the secret book to Liam to give the Alpha. Now Emily was sitting on the bed, Lucien lying on her lap and sleeping. He didn't say anything about the boys, she did not ask too, because she knew he would say it when the time was right. She helped Lucien position himself on the bed, so he could sleep very well without straining his neck. She lay awake beside him on the bed, not because she was thinking about anything. She was holding the book the boys gave to their father when they came back and was wondering what was in it that made it so secretive. She flipped open the first page, there was an inscription “WHAT HAPPENED IN THE PALACE’’. Emily's attention was drawn Immediately. She started flipping through the rest of the pages and more words began to surface. She raced back to the first page and began to read it again, out loud but quietly.

Chapter Sixty-seven: Going For Attack Planning.
AUTHOR'S POVShe looked, it was Lucien. He was not wearing a smile at all. She already understands that looks, so she reframed from upsetting him immediately. “Can you stop reading this crap? Stop corrupting your mind.” Lucien's deep voice showed clear upset.“Am sorry. I was going to give it to you.”Emily apologized almost whispering.“Never mind.” Lucien sat up and got off the bed, took the book to a box where he kept files he didn't want people to access. He kept it deep inside, locked it, so no one would be able to access it anymore, and returned to her.He kissed her forehead and then the tip of her nose. She allowed him to pull her into his embrace and cuddle her in the bed when he was back on the bed.Emily feared to ask but she wanted to know if he knew about it. Chapter Sixty-Eight: Malcolm Prepares For War.
MALCOLM'S POV I woke up as sore as hell, I could not even move my hands. I returned to lying on the bed. “What the hell did I do last night?”I tried to remember but my memory was hazy. In my confusion, someone opened my door and walked in. He chuckled immediately after he saw me...“You look damn fine today.”I scoffed at the mockery in his voice.“It still doesn't make me as hideous as Nathaniel.” I laughed my ass off for a while but he didn't join me. No biggie, Nobody ever gets me anyway. He came close to me and helped me stretch my arms and legs and I could finally get out of bed.“Thank you, Tristan, I needed that.”. I thanked him. Continuing the stretch myself.“Remind me again what I did yesterday because I cannot remember,” I said to him, already used to his silence around me. He raised his eyebrows and then started laughing. “You are a madman, Malcolm. You are sick in the head. Yesterday, you raised a group of revolvers that went rogue, men, women, and children.

Chapter Sixty-nine: The Palace Without The King.
EMILY'S POV I stood on the top of the castle walls looking down to the modern city, cars honking and beta littering the streets. The lights from the lamps that light the night outside, come in to signify that night was all too near. Standing here and watching the city I administered over was supposed to be a delight but I felt so incomplete and unable to enjoy it at all.Lucien left with Lucas and Liam three days ago but it seems it has been ten years since they left because I'm alone in the palace. I missed them. He took Abel with him too. Andy was still on suspension so basically, I was alone. Hurrying footsteps came to my hearing, interrupting my thoughts. My eyes went to the left, waiting for the owner of the footsteps to show his face. The man came into view immediately. He was in the robe of the council. He looked quite upset. I heaved, looking away. “Another call for a council meeting. No wonder Lucien hated council meetings. Any small thing, they would call for council meet

Chapter Seventy: We Want The Luna.
EMILY'S POV Murmurs spread across the whole room immediately. I suddenly felt weak inside. The laborers had never revolted before. Not because of fear but because they were treated quite well by Lucien indeed. They were what he used to show the people that he was a king, kind to all. The laborers have become the yardstick for measuring the goodness of Alpha Lucien. If they revolted it meant they were saying that Lucien instilled fear in them to speak up about his hypocrisy but now he is absent they have found their voice to speak. It was ridiculous but for some reason, people took it all too seriously in this kingdom.“Take me there. Let me see the revolters.”I left where I stood, approaching the wolf guard. Trying to hide my frightened spirit. “My Luna, the matter is not for you to act on at the moment. We have to check the status quo and inform you first.”. The wolf chief stopped me with his words. I heaved softly making sure none of my enemies in the room would tell that I was
