LORRAINE'S POVThe next day, I tended to Aiden and Alex who laid on the bed. As soon as the sun hung in the sky that morning, we made out way back to the bunker. Aiden and Alex clung to me tightly. They barely slept throughout the night. I hummed as I rocked the two of them to sleep. I tried to soothe them by stroking their hair gently. Their soft breathing showed me that they had slept off.
