Chapter fifty-two

Katherine’s POV

The sound of voices echoing woke me up from my slumber. It was all blurry at first, then everything came into focus. I spotted Caleb first, then Daniel, his friend, and a couple of other people in the room. Someone turned and left the room and for a moment I thought it was Ethan but when I shook my head slightly, I didn't see anyone.

My head movement however let the others know that I was now awake. "She's awake!" Someone squeals and Caleb rushes towards me, worry etched into the lines on his forehead.

"Baby, are you okay?" He says and places his hands on my forearms. I was just about to reassure him when the pressure of his fingers on my body made me scream out loud, pain rocketing through my body. That was when I discovered that every inch of my body was in pain and even a slight movement made it even worse so I stopped moving my body.

"I'm sorry!" Caleb instantly removes his hands and the pressure abates causing the pain to reduce. I feel terrible for making him worr
