Hayden's POV

Clark and I stared at each other for about five minutes before he broke the silence.

I'm here. I guess my package was delivered to you." He said.

I scoffed out loud. "I'm listening, what is it you want from me?" I questioned.

"What a tricky way to start a conversation Mr Smith. I must say, I do admire your courage and how you tend to handle things most times." He replied, but I remained silent waiting for an answer to the question I had asked.

He leaned back on the seat to relax.

"I would have requested for a million dollars, or a contract deal with you, this time my rules, but I need something else."

"Go ahead." I answered, patiently waiting for him to say those words that I was well aware he would say.

"End your contract marriage with Sarah, and back away from her." He said.

This got me laughing so hard. I was usually always the serious type, but today was exceptional for me.

"Why should I?" I questioned.

"You don't love her. I know you only want something from her."

I
