Chapter 18: Moving on

Avery's POV

I stared at Tobias as if he had magically become an Alien, at that moment he looked really weird. I struggled to process what was happening, I looked around me to see various staff and other people staring at us, their faces flashing brightly in anticipation.

“Avery...” Tobias called, I turned to face him again, as I saw the worry on his face.

Tobias had always been here for me so there shouldn't be any need to think about his proposal, I thought to myself but I couldn’t move. I just stood there frozen to the ground, it felt like someone had poured cement over my feet, planting me on the ground.
