Alec's POV:

"Hello, Olivia," I greeted my mate with a smile across my face as my mind wandered off to when I had left her at the beach.

(A few hours ago)

"What's wrong with you?" Debby asked seriously in the living room of the beach house.

"Nothing," I answered and then walked to the balcony.

It was night, and yet I wasn't willing to go back to the pack.

Debby asked me a few times if I was going, yet I couldn't seem to give her a clear response.

I looked at the bright moon, then sighed heavily as what had happened played into my mind. I felt so horrible, and my wolf was silent since then because he had no idea what to say to comfort the both of us.

"Seriously, Alec, what is the problem? By now you should have gone back," she asked loudly.

I turned and looked at her coldly.
