Chapter 58

Olivia's POV:

Hearing about Alec's past and how he had suffered made me feel sad, but at the same time, closer to him. He looked so cool that I couldn't imagine him going through all that.

"I can't believe he went through hell," I said huskily, then wiped away my tears.

"I know, but you don't have to cry about it. He is fine. And now that he has met you, I know he will be happier," she answered.

"Thank you, Debby, for sharing the story," I whispered.

"Of course," she answered, then frowned when we heard the sound of a car outside the house.

She stood up and walked out of the living room, and I followed behind.

When we went outside, I smiled in relief seeing Alec stepping out of the car unharmed. He went to open the passenger's seat and leaned in.

"Olivia, come here," he said loudly.

I quickly rushed to his side.

"Yes," I answered.

"Look," he whispered, and then stepped back as I slowly moved closer, looking inside.
