Chapter 59

Debby's POV:

I was walking back and forth in the living room, feeling very uneasy. Something was definitely wrong somewhere, but sadly, I couldn't pinpoint what it was.

When Alec walked in, I quickly rushed to his side.

"Is she asleep?" I asked.

"Who?" he asked back.

"The little girl," I answered.

"Yes, and Olivia is by her side," he responded.

"That's good. Now then, finish telling me the story. You didn't tell me everything. What really happened when you approached Jay, that human scum?" I asked seriously.

He sighed, then walked outside of the house, and I quickly followed behind.

"I did what all mates would do," he answered while approaching his car.

"And what is that?" I asked.

"Taking care of him," he answered.

"What do you mean by that? Was he disrespectful to you?" I asked, concerned.

"Yes, he was," he answered and then grabbed and opened the trunk of his car.

The first thing I picked up was the strong scent of blood.

When I looked at the unconscious body in the
