Chapter forty-nine

Caleb’s POV

We landed safely on the strip a couple of distance away from Shadow's mansion and I as well as the man directed to go rescue Kathrine jumped down first, while the rest were to follow soon after.

Ethan said he was coming with us, or else the mission was canceled without him, so we grudgingly accepted.

"Good luck, man." Daniel bumps me on the back as I reach for my back before leaving and I bump him too, wishing him the same.

The chopper went back and flew away, presumably to land in a more secure spot while they waited for us. I had to give a signal once we had success in retrieving Katherine, then they could attack and use the cover to escape.

All in all, it seemed like a good plan, but one teeny, tiny mistake could make it blow all up in our face.
