Chapter sixty-one

Katherine’s POV

I was slowly working towards getting better, both physically and mentally but it was a bit hard when the most vital person I needed was AWOL.

I've tried to reach Ethan several times but my call kept getting busied.

So I decided to take the bull by the horns, figuratively of course.

That was before I overheard a conversation about Ethan. I was taking my usual stroll through the gardens, and something Amelia told me helped clear her mind and center her thoughts.

So far, it worked wonders for me until I heard two voices that floated over to me.

I stopped walking, surprised that someone other than I was here, and decided to listen in…especially since the conversation centered on someone whom I termed my nemesis.

"There's word on the ground that Alpha Ethan is looking for someone to fill up the space his former mate left." There were two women, one with auburn locks and the other with dark blonde hair.

"Oh, I'd like to be his mate!" The dark blonde clapped her eyes excitedl
